March's Expert - Q&A with Former Schwab President Tim McCarthy
THE SAFE INVESTOR - Helping your clients grow their money in a volatile global economy
What could you learn about investing and communicating with your clients if you could pick the brain of one of the best investing minds in the business? What would you ask the former president of Charles Schwab and Co. and Fidelity Investment Advisor Group? Recently, ThinkAdvisor.com did just that, asking Timothy F. McCarthy to share his insights on the industry and, gulp, what Bernie Madoff did right! Read "Ex-Schwab, Fidelity Exec: Be Careful Whom You Trust".
Through an industry connection, AdvisorWebsites was able to schedule Mr. McCarthy for our 2014 industry thought leader Round Table series. He's a big name — and it is our good fortune to get a slot on his busy schedule. Don't miss this candid conversation with Tim McCarthy!
Tim McCarthy is the author of The Safe Investor: How to Make Your Money Grow in a Volatile Global Economy (Feb 2014; Published by Palgrave Macmillan). McCarthy has dedicated his entire career to the financial services industry and his experiences include serving as Chairman and CEO of Nikko Asset Management in Tokyo, Good Morning Securities in Seoul, CEO of Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong, President of Charles Schwab and Co., and President of the Fidelity Investment Advisor Group. As an executive who formerly led large and successful corporations, McCarthy understands how difficult it can be for employed individuals to speak their minds. At this point in his career, he prides himself on offering candid comments and frank opinions.
Tim will be joined by Daniel Kern, CFA(r), who will share key research findings from the book, and a member from the Advisor Websites team. Here's your chance to listen to two of the brightest minds in the industry.
