We're always looking for good ideas to share with our readers, so we have decided to begin a new weekly blog post entitled Simple Marketing Tips for Financial Advisors.

To begin this segment, we have a couple ideas that can assist you when trying to land a potential client.

Immediately following your initial meeting with the potential client, shoot them a text message thanking them for taking the time to speak with you, and let them know that a recap email is being sent shortly.

Since you only have 160 characters to work with when texting, it forces you to be concise, and to the point.  An example of a text message you can send is:

"Thanks {name} for taking the time to discuss your financial future with me, an email will be sent shortly outlining what we discussed today.  Cheers!"

"It was a pleasure speaking with your today {name}, I look forward to developing our relationship and assisting you in reaching your financial goals. Cheers!"

"Thanks {name} for meeting with me today.  After listening to what your financial goals are, I am confident I can help you achieve them! -{Your Name}"
